The History of Creation by ~diimmortales:icondiimmortales:

The History of Creation

At the start of it all,
Aga was of flesh.
Dissatisfied with the weakness of the flesh, Aga the Great
reached from the skies
plunging his mighty fists
into the hard ground.
From the metal therein,
Aga the Strong fashioned arms.
Cutting his own arms from his flesh,
Aga affixed the newer, stronger ones,
hurling the flesh to the earth.
From the flesh and ground
sprung the first race of people,
great of might and strength.

Pleased, Aga surveyed the new arms
and surveying found weakness in the legs.
Once more Aga the Quick harvested,
pulling metal into legs.
Cutting his own legs from his flesh,
Aga affixed the newer, stronger ones,
hurling the flesh to the ground.
From the flesh and the ground
sprung the second race of people,
swift of foot and strong of leg.

Again Aga admired his body
and found fault in his torso.
Drawing metal yet again,
Aga the Loving molded,
shaping a chest from metal.
Aga the Virile shaped a new groin,
cutting off the old in place of the new.
Tossing his flesh to the ground,
it split on impact, shaping from those parts
the third and fourth races of people,
those lustful and seductive
and those of great caring and empathy.

Gazing at his new body,
Aga was pleased with his appearance.
Aga the Wise noticed then
that his head alone remained of flesh.
One last time Aga pulled forth metal,
fashioning a head, and removing his own.
It fell to the earth, and from the earth
and flesh was created the fifth race of people,
those of strong intellect and logic
(but little common sense)
for Aga the Foolish had not realized
the powers of the head.

Untended, his metal body fell to the earth
and burrowed underneath its dark blanket.
Thus were men created, by the unwitting sacrifice of
Aga the Dead.

A creation myth that I've been working on. It will later be fleshed out even more (heh), and I'll work on the lay-out, since I intend to reflect upon the Hebrew poetic device of parallelism (I think I'll make them tricolons) because this is a story that works well for that.

It's being turned in for a Creative Writing course, and who knows what people will think. I like the idea, personally.

It's interesting, formulating your own ideas on how the world was formed, and how people came to be, in the style of tribal religions. Fascinating.

Wow, I really like the idea in the first verse. Quite cool, possibly the only creation story where man is actually made of flesh :P
Tribal myths certainly are fascinating. . .

Ah, so that idea continues. I wasn't sure if it would or not. Regardless, quite cool. Do the multiple races represent any in particular or is it a general thing?
I like how Aga's title changes depending on the body parts he's replacing. As if those particular races only view him in the sense that applies to them.

Haha, metal penis.

Ah, very very awesome. The final bit, the concept itself and his final title, is great. Absolutely incredible idea, very cool.
Favorited, I like this a WHOLE lot.

I really like this, it's well thought out and a really good idea overal,l it does seem like a myth from centuries ago or from some old religeon. Well done!
